Engagement rings today are more varied than ever. Anything from the traditional solitaire, to colored diamonds and colored gemstones.
The design for an engagement ring has become more personal than ever as well. I can tell you there is no common trending design that my customers are asking for. There may be a leaning towards certain shapes of diamonds at different times, or a trending metal choice, but I don't see any one theme as of this moment. If anything, I think women are striving to have something no one else has, and that is where I come in, here at b. shannon designs.
I want to learn about the person receiving their piece of jewelry, whether or not it is an engagement ring or earrings or pendant, no matter the gender!
I find that my customers want to have a piece that speaks to them and their style, not what is trending at other stores, or in magazines.
It's not only diamonds that people want for their engagement ring and wedding bands, although there are more options for "diamond like" options that are more affordable (Moissanite, white sapphire, lab grown diamonds) there are numerous colored stones that people are asking for.
Sapphires, which come in any color, are the most durable next to diamond, so I try to educate my customers on durability over the life of the ring.
Whatever the ring, know that it will be made with you and the receiver in mind.
